The Text FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

The FAQ contains answers to Frequently Asked Questions on the mailing list,as well as other news and items of interest.

The FAQ is available in three formats:

• Web version
• Rich Text Format (.rtf) version [445kb; Last updated: 29/11/2024]
• Text (.txt) Version [411kb; Last updated: 29/11/2024]

The best way to use the text version of the FAQ is to saving it to your hard drive, then load it into your favourite word processor to view and serach it. To do this:

1. Click on the 'Text (.txt) Version' link above
2. FILE / SAVE AS to the hard disk
3. in favourite word processor, select FILE / OPEN, then select file type "Text Files (*.txt)"
4. ... the select the path of file name of where you saved auml-faq.txt

... and voila, there it is, no reformatting or changing of fonts necessary.

Now you will always have it handy, and you can use the search facility in your word processor to find what you are looking for.
